The rapid development of mass media with technology that support the journalistic profession is one of the phenomena of communication that needs to be studied continuously. One way to understand the development of mass media is to make comparisons with other countries. This comparative study of mass media was conducted by the Faculty of Communication and Political Sciences of Atma Jaya University. UAJY sent 8 students of Communication Science Program to Ilmenau University of Technology of Germany to study about industrial media in Germany for 2 weeks, from 27 April to 8 May 2015.
“This activity is the first time we send UAJY students to Ilmenau since the cooperation with University of Ilmenau for 10 years. Ilmenau himself has repeatedly sent students here. Now their visit has been reciprocated, “said Dr. MC Ninik Sri Rejeki M. Si, dean of FISIP UAJY Monday (11/5). The cooperation program aims to improve students ‘international competencies, open up students’ insights about the media industry in Germany, and open up internships for students in Germany.
